Sports and PT
Physical training and sports help strengthen our teamwork and keep us in shape. Compete with other NZCF units in competitions and represent your unit.
Leadership
Develop the skills necessary to lead yourself, teams and eventually leaders themselves as you progress through the ranks. Learn briefing techniques, command and control, and risk management, to become New Zealand’s successful leaders of tomorrow.
Community Service
Give back to the community through fundraising events and volunteer work. Help those in need and become a contributing member of our society.
Training Programme
Weekly Parade Nights
Every Tuesday night during the school term, we parade at The Depot, Lloyd Elsmore Park from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Attendance is compulsory, but leave can be obtained at any time.
Two training periods are conducted during our parade nights, where cadets participate in theory lessons and some practical training where applicable.
Weekend activities
Put your knowledge to the test through our weekend activities. From flying days to camps, tramps and unit shoots, these activities are where you can truly experience what the Cadet Forces has to offer.
These activities occur regularly and you can sign up for them as they are announced. Extra costs may apply to cover these activities.
